I like this job because I like to help students learn how to make the best use of the library’s resources. Students at Kennedy-King are all over the map in terms of how well they can use the library. I enjoy the challenge of helping them figure out the best approach to the challenge at hand.

In “real life,” I like to read (yeah, I know, but not all librarians are readers,) travel, take photographs, go on canoe trips, and play sports. (Although, at my age, I’m slowing down with that last bit.) I am a singer and songwriter, and made an album of original songs a couple of years ago. I was born and raised in a small town in Ohio, went to college and graduate school in Tennessee, and lived in New Jersey for two years before moving to Chicago in 1985.
