Harold Washington College librarians provide information literacy instruction sessions for classes across the disciplines. Class sessions cover a variety of important information literacy and research skills for students, and can be tailored according to your needs. Schedule a session here.
For more in-depth information literacy sessions, the library's embedded librarian program links a librarian with your section(s) of a course and provides 3 tailored in-depth lessons. For example, some Spring 2020 ENG102 sections have had sessions on Research Skills, Evaluating Sources, and Annotated Bibliographies. Contact us for more information or to participate in the program.
The library provides a number of useful online information literacy skills guides, as well as some subject-specific guides including GovDocs, Visual Arts, and Criminal/Juvenile Justice. From the library's home page, click on the blue Guides and Help at the left of the page, or click here to go directly to the pages.
