Video Resources in the Library: Searching in Kanopy

This guide provides information about library resources for streaming videos as well as other video resources.

Searching in Kanopy

Tip 1: If you do not have a specific title, individual, or topic in mind and want to get an idea of what Kanopy offers, you can begin by clicking on the BROWSE link next to the search box. From there, you will be able to view general subject entries for areas of study (for example, “The Arts”) and video genres (for example, “Instruction Films and Lessons”). These entries are broken down into more specific areas (for example, “Fashion” or “K-12 Lessons”) with related films linked.

Tip 2: If you are searching for a specific title, a specific filmmaker or actor, or if you are searching for a specific topic, enter your search in the search box.

A menu will appear with suggested results. You can click on the one that best fits what you are looking for. Otherwise, you can hit the magnifying glass icon to enter your search and view results.
