Welcome to the Philosophy LibGuide

Philosophy, literally translated, is the love of wisdom. This guide presents resources that will help you in your own pursuit of wisdom through the discipline of philosophy. 

What is in this guide?

On the sidebar, you can see links to monographs -- works of philosophy -- as well as articles, websites, and tertiary sources, or sources about philosophy. You can also look through the videos section for some lively philosophical content.

Where can I find philosophy in the library?

Books on philosophy are located under the call letter B. Books with this call number prefix, available on the second floor of the library, include ancient to contemporary philosophy and works about specific philosophers. 

What resources are there for philosophy online?

The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy is a great resource for learning more about philosophy and philosophers. It is freely available to anyone with an internet connection at any computer.
