English Language Learner (EBSCO)
A resource for students who are new to the English language; topics including literacy, researching, note-taking and academic writing.

Testing and Education Reference Center (Gale) 
This resource offers ebooks on the latest high school, college and graduate entrance exams, as well as practice tests. Note: you will be asked to create a personal profile so that you can track your progress.

Virtual Reference Library (Gale)
This database contains encyclopedia articles and other tools that provide background information on a wide range of subjects.

At Harold Washington College, the Financial Aid Office works closely with students and families to provide financial assistance in the form of grants, loans and work-study from federal and state resources. The Financial Aid Office is your guide and resource to help you make college affordable.

Harold Washington College Career Development  

Room 101 or Drop-In Virtual Hours

The Career Development office prepares students for the career they want by providing resume and cover letter writing resources, assisting with editing, facilitating mock interviews, and offering general job search strategy tips.

As an integral part of the educational experience, the Advising Department at Harold Washington College empowers students to take charge of their academic, career, and personal goals through shared responsibility between the student and advisor.     

Tutoring Services

Tutoring Services supports student success through peer, professional, and embedded tutoring. Specialized tutoring is available for the Arts, Math, Science, etc. List specific resources/locations per discipline.

The Writing Lab provides tutoring support in writing specifically, or provides students with the opportunity to make an appointment with their classroom tutor.
