The HWC Library invites you to visit and explore the services and resources we offer the HWC community including research assistance, access to course textbooks, books for research or for leisure reading, a quiet space to study, curriculum support, and much more. We are located on the 5th floor. Stop by! Our Spring 2025 hours of operation are Monday - Thursday from 8AM to 8PM and Friday from 8AM to 4PM.
Visit the HWC Library's homepage to access online resources and services and to learn more about what the HWC Library can offer.
HWC Library is pleased to announce that students may soon borrow Chromebooks from the library take home!
Brought to you by a generous grant from Senator Richard Durbin’s office, these devices are available for 28-day checkout periods. Wherever you have access to WiFi, you will be able to access Brightspace, online course materials, library databases, and the Google Drive office suite. You can also access your Zoom courses, but must first download the free Zoom for Chromebook app from Google Play.
If you need your Chromebook beyond the 28-day period, you can simply renew your checkout at the library. If not, return it and the library staff will do a factory reset to protect your privacy.
You can now manage your library account by clicking on the Sign In link at the top right corner of the online catalog search page. Log in with your CCC credentials (the same username and password you use for your other CCC accounts). Once logged in, you can: view the items you have checked out and their due dates; renew books; view any book requests you have placed; view any fines or blocks on your account; views searches; view any search results you have saved (pinned). Have questions or need help accessing your account? Come by the library and speak with a librarian!
Take a break and join us for movies in the library! Not able to make it? All of the movies are available through Kanopy on the A - Z list of databases found on the HWC Library's website.
All films will be screened at noon in 501K inside the library.
