HWC Library Newsletter: May 2023: Home

It is with much sadness that we share the news of the death of retired librarian John Kieraldo. John was a valued member of the Library Department from January 1998 until his retirement in May of 2022. He served as department chairperson / co-chairperson from 2015 to 2022. Originally from California, John received his master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. John will be remembered as a kind and reliable friend and colleague.

As the end of the semester nears, please remember to return all library books. Books can be returned inside the library at the circulation desk or dropped in the book drop outside the library's entrance. All library books are due by Friday, May 12. Library books will be room use only beginning May 8. Thank you for your cooperation!

• Find a space that is conducive to studying...like the library! 

• Take breaks and make sure you are getting rest.

• Break up larger projects into smaller steps, and set goals for each step. It will help projects feel less overwhelming.
