Faculty Collaboration

Are you in need of more online library support for you and / or your students? Are you interested in transitioning from traditional course textbooks to open educational resources (OER) and other non-textbook course materials? The Library can help!

Summer is an excellent time for us to create and/or curate library content for your fall classes, so please reach out to us about the research projects you will be assigning.

Shelf Talker

Editorial assistant Nella Rogers is the only Black woman at Wagner Books. Until one day, when the familiar smell of cocoa butter signals that she no longer is. What follows in Zakiya Dalila Harris' debut novel, The Other Black Girlis a story filled with suspense, dark comedy, and social commentary. Visit the library for this and other books to fill all your summer reading needs.

Textbooks in the Library

Textbook didn't arrive in time for the first day of class? Not able to purchase a copy of a textbook you need this semester? Did you know that the HWC Library has a collection of current textbooks (also known as our Course Reserves)?  Stop by to find out if the Library has what you are looking for. While items in Course Reserve cannot be taken out of the library, we have copiers and scanners available if you need specific chapters in class or at home. Please keep in mind that there may be instances in which the Library does not have a textbook being used in the current semester. Visit us for more information. The HWC Library's summer hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
