The Harold Washington College Library congratulates the spring 2024 graduating class!

It's not too late to stop by and visit us on the 5th floor. The Harold Washington College Library supports the academic work and life-long learning pursuits of the College community. The Library offers services and resources for all of the HWC community including research assistance, information literacy instruction, access to course textbooks, leisure reading recommendations, a quiet space to study, curriculum support, computers and printers, and much more. Our Spring 2024 hours of operation are Monday - Thursday from 8AM to 8PM and Friday from 8AM to 4PM.

The Library will be closed during the interim beginning May 10.

We will reopen on Wednesday, June 5 when the summer semester begins.

Final Due Date for Library Books!

As the end of the semester nears, please remember to return all library books. Books can be returned inside the library at the circulation desk or dropped in the book drop outside the library's entrance. All library books are due by Friday, May 10. Library books will be room use only beginning May 6. Thank you for your cooperation!

New Library System Coming Soon!

The CCC Libraries are moving to a new library system! Primo, our new discovery tool, will go live this summer. The new discovery tool will allow users to search for, access, and request materials from within the CCC system, as well as from more than 90 libraries throughout Illinois through our I-Share membership. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.

Chat Reference Hours

Librarians are available to assist you via chat. Our spring 2024 chat hours are:

Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am-8:00 pm

Friday and Saturday: 8:00 am - 10:00 pm

Sunday: 10:00 am - 10:00 pm

The chat box feature will open on the lower right corner of any library page including the main CCC Libraries information page.

Please note that our chat service is not available during the interim (May 10 - June 4) and that our summer chat hours may vary.
