This week's readings and exercises begin with a brief explanation of the history of bias in media outlets in the United States. On the next pages you will read about the political spectrum in the US and the various biases of different news outlets. Attention is paid to different expressions and types of bias. After the relationship between politics and mass media is more fully understood, we will look at the difficulties of using mass media to inform the public about scientific findings. Be sure to watch all the videos and follow all the links!
